在一个安静的小巷里, lives two very different families. On one side, there’s the quiet and unassuming family of Li family, while on the other side, there’s the lively and奔忙 family of Wang family. The Li family is known for their kind hearts and warm personalities, while the Wang family is famous for their loud and chaotic lifestyle. But despite their differences, these two families have always been in close contact with each other. One day, during a casual conversation between the two families, a mysterious incident occurred that would change everything forever.
Little Li, a bright and optimistic girl, was sitting on her bed when she heard about this mysterious incident. Her heart started racing as she imagined what could possibly happen to someone so innocent like her. She quickly grabbed her phone and dialed the number of her best friend, Xiao Ke. “Kei, have you heard anything about that strange thing that happened yesterday?” she asked worriedly.
Xiao Ke’s voice came over the phone in a cheerful tone. “Li Li, everything is okay! That was just a misunderstanding between two people who had nothing to do with each other.” Li Li sighed deeply and said, “But what if it’s not just a misunderstanding? What if that mysterious person is watching us from somewhere else?”
After hanging up the phone, Little Li decided to investigate. She followed Xiao Ke to her house one night, curious about whatever had happened. When she knocked on the door, Xiao Ke answered and greeted her with a smile. “You look nervous, Li Li,” she said playfully. “Don’t worry, we’ll talk it through.”
As they walked into the living room, Little Li’s eyes widened in shock when she saw the object of Xiao Ke’s explanation: a small notebook lying on the table. It was covered with strange symbols and diagrams that even Xiao Ke couldn’t understand. “What is this?” she asked aloud.
Xiao Ke took out her phone and scrolled through a message Xiao He sent earlier that day. “Li Li, I think it’s time to talk to Mr. He,” she said quickly. “I have some important news for him.” And with that, Xiao Ke handed Little Li the notebook and left. Little Li stared at it in disbelief before putting it back on the table.
That night, Mr. He returned home after a long day of work. When he saw Little Li sitting alone in her room, he walked over and asked, “Li Li, what’s wrong?” Little Li shook her head and didn’t say anything. Finally, she broke the silence by saying, “He gave me this notebook.”
Mr. He looked at the notebook with confusion on his face before putting it back and asking, “What happened? Was there something that needed your attention tonight?” Little Li sighed deeply and explained everything to him as best as she could. Mr. He listened carefully, his sharp eyes never leaving the notebook.
As the evening went on, Mr. He became more and more interested in the strange contents of the notebook. The symbols and diagrams were becoming more and more detailed, and even Xiao Ke was able to understand some of what it contained. Little Li couldn’t help but feel a mix of fear and excitement as she watched her best friend decipher the mysterious code.
When Mr. He finally finished working on his report that night, he looked up at Little Li with a strange expression. “Li Li,” he said, his voice filled with uncertainty, “I think it’s time we talked about something else.” And with those words, he turned and left the room, leaving Little Li alone in her thoughts.
The next day, as Xiao Ke was getting ready for school, she noticed something strange on Mr. He’s desk. There was a small note saying, “He missed you yesterday,” written in his usual handwriting. Xiao Ke was confused but also worried. She quickly made an appointment to talk to her best friend and went to her room.
When she entered the room, she found Little Li sitting on the floor with a frown on her face. “What’s wrong?” Xiao Ke asked.
Little Li looked up at her and said, “He didn’t come back home last night.”
Xiao Ke was stunned by this information. She quickly got her phone out and called Mr. He.
“Hello, Mr. He,” she said.
“Hey, where’s my little girl?” he replied.
Mr. He paused on the line for a moment before continuing.
“Li Li is not here today,” he said quietly.
Xiao Ke’s heart sank as she heard these words. She quickly hung up the phone and ran to get some clothes ready for school, determined to find out what had happened.
As Xiao Ke rushed off, Little Li watched her go with a worried expression on her face. “Kei,” she said softly, “I think something bad happened to him.”
Xiao Ke turned around and saw her best friend looking at her with wide eyes.
“What’s wrong?” Xiao Ke asked again.
Little Li nodded slowly and said, “He didn’t come home last night. I think he was taken away by someone else.”
Xiao Ke’s heart sank as she heard these words. She quickly grabbed her things and left for school, determined to find out what had happened to Mr. He.
That day, when Xiao Ke arrived at school, she found Li Li waiting outside with a note in her hand. The note said, “Don’t worry, I’ll take care of you. Just call me when you need help.”
Xiao Ke was overwhelmed by these words and embraced Li Li warmly.
As they walked towards school together, Li Li looked back at Xiao Ke and said, “I know what’s going on now. He was taken to a place where no one can find him. But I’ll be okay because Kei will always be with me.”
Xiao Ke nodded softly as she heard these words. She knew that whatever had happened would require her to take care of herself, but she couldn’t imagine how difficult it must have been for Li Li.
As they walked through the school gates together, Li Li looked back at Xiao Ke with a determined expression on her face. “We’ll get through this together,” she said.
Xiao Ke smiled at her and followed her into the school, their hearts full of hope for the future.
