据说里面有一群触手,它们很擅长… very efficient at causing pain and destruction.”
The voice was so real, so familiar.
“Who are you?” Alex demanded in a low tone.
The man looked up with aghast expression. “You… you don’t know who I am…”
Suddenly, the lights flickered, and darkness overridden everything else. A strange sensation of being watched filled Alex’s mind。The voice came again, this time stronger: “You are not going to find us.”
But before Alex could react, something unexpected happened—time seemed to stop.
Alex saw through the smoke that smoke was… coming from his own mouth. He coughed and cleared his throat, but the words came out distorted, as if he were surrounded by a strange force field.
“Touching you now,” a deep voice said in his ear, “is like… tasting something you can’t imagine.”
Alex’s heart rate increased as he realized what was happening. The forcefield was real—something was consuming him…
But when Alex finally broke free from the forcefield, he found himself back in the corridor. The mirrored walls were still fluctuating, and his vision returned to normal.
“Who… who are you?” he asked, trying to process what just happened.
The voice behind him replied in a monotone tone: “You have been touched by us all.”
As if on cue, a wave of intense pain swept over Alex’s body. He stumbled back, and the forcefield engulfed him once again.
“Please… tell me you’re not serious…” Alex panted, trying to catch his breath.
The forcefield dissolved around him as a sharp pain shot through his body. The last thing he heard was a distorted voice: “You will die.”
Alex collapsed onto a nearby bench, clutching at his ribs. His vision returned to clarity, but the memory of the previous seconds was vivid and terrifying.
He knew he had to act fast—before anyone else could be caught in the same fate。But how?
As Alex hurriedly pieced together what had happened, his mind flew back to that corridor and those mysterious mirrors. He realized they were not just ordinary devices—they were powered by some unknown entity capable of… of causing pain and destruction.
Suddenly, a figure approached him from behind—its form shifting into something resembling a human shape but with an elongated tail at its chest. Its eyes glowed faintly in the dim light。
Alex recognized it immediately as the same creature he had seen in the mirrors: a sort of cyborg with adaptive abilities and immense strength.
The creature stepped closer, its voice low and deep: “We have already taken many. But you… you are different.”
Alex’s heart pounded as he realized what was about to happen. He knew he must find a way to stop it before it could finish him off.
“Who are you?” Alex demanded, his voice cold and firm。
The creature turned its gaze on him with a calculating expression: “You will find out soon enough.”
